Martin Tzanev, Video Technology Specialist

Martin Tzanev is a video professional with skills spanning production, post-production, media management and archiving. Since 2007 he has acted as assistant editor for WITNESS’ productions. He has participated in the building of the digital assetmanagement system of the Media Archive as well as researched and implementednew video technologies. Before becoming a staff member, Martin interned at WITNESS working on the translation of “Equal Access,” an advocacy film on Romani activism for desegregation of education in Bulgaria.

 

Before joining WITNESS, Martin worked for Teach for America as a post-production assistant. He has a BA from Hunter College and has completed coursework in International Studies at CUNY’s Graduate School and University Center. He is fluent in Bulgarian and English, speaks intermediate Russian and basic French.
